The Super Bowl is upon us once again… It’s crazy to me how fast time goes. Not that I even remember last year’s game, but face it. It was 2020, so… Some years I pay more attention than others as to who’s even playing. Sometimes I care, sometimes, not so much.
But this year? I’m not currently working and Matt is still working from home. And when boredom sets in, I suddenly get inspired to cook…
That doesn’t mean I care all that much about the game itself. I freaking love watching football games, and it doesn’t matter all that much what the teams are. Mostly, the game is a solid excuse to make food and drink beer. Or cocktails. Haven’t gotten that far yet.
So yeah. Back to cooking. Salsa, guac, spinach and artichoke dip, mini key lime pies… Mmm. Unfortunately, I have to remember there are only two of us, but face it. We can eat. And drink, but who’s counting?
And so, I got to work. I made ALL the things I mentioned above. And settled on beer – Eddyline Brewing Crank Yanker IPA for me, and Epic’s Los Locos for Matt. We had quite the spread! Now, if the game had just turned out a bit differently….
