I (guess) I’m among the fortunate whose family lives where it stays warm through the winter. As such, Matt and I head to West Palm Beach most years for the holidays, where my parents are.

This year’s trip started off with lots of beach visits, pool time, and hanging out in downtown West Palm to check out the Christmas festivities. We saw Christmas sand castles and a Christmas tree decorated with flamingos.

I even managed to get Matt out of bed an to the beach for a pretty spectacular sunrise! I had to promise cafe con leche and pastelitos de guayaba on our way, but we got there. And having a breakfast picnic on the beach did NOT suck.

And of course, it’s not a proper start to a trip down there if we don’t go to Guanabana’s for good seafood and awesome views!
