We had one more full day in Florida before heading back to reality, and we really wanted to go somewhere different and try to create some content for a video, but we were both tired and didn’t want to go too far… So we decided to head to Delray Beach. A mere half hour away.

We drove down, and sat out on the beach for a few hours, which was lovely. As we all know, I can sit on a beach and read a book while being soothed by the sound of the ocean indefinitely. When we’d had enough, we went into town and wandered there for a bit.

So peaceful.

We found more gelato – this one was ALMOST as good as Anita’s (the amazing gelato place we found in Old San Juan, Puerto Rico). It was melting faster than I could eat it, and it was hilarious! The little town was really cool – super walkable for Florida. I finally found a place that I could tolerate living in if I HAD to go to Florida for some reason.

Gelato was AWESOME!

The next morning, we had a nice pancake breakfast with my parents, then it was time to go to the airport. We returned the rental car, took the shuttle to the terminal, and went through security – easy enough.

Our flights were uneventful, if a little bumpy. For the first time ever, we didn’t have to take a train to switch terminals in ATL between our flights, which was nice.

One of our friends picked us up, which was really nice, and home we went. What a trip!
