Ahhh, Breckenridge. You’re my favorite. There is SO much to do there in the winter, that isn’t even skiing.

Not that the skiing isn’t amazing – it absolutely is. But there’s much more to the town than just the mountain.

The apres ski situation is rather amazing. Tons of bars and restaurants, most with pretty decent happy hours, which is nice. Gold Pan Saloon is one of our favorites.

They have Carboy wine on tap, one of my faves!

The town also boasts a snow sculpture competition, which is world class. People come from all over the world to carve giant blocks of snow and be judged. It’s pretty cool to see the forms emerging from the snow. We’ve been a few times now, and it’s always amazing.

Einstein was our favorite!

If you want a nice chill activity that’s not skiing but is still a workout, there are snowshoeing trails all over the mountain, too. Snowshoes are a great way to get out and hike a few miles without post holing or having to shove your feet into ski boots!

What’s YOUR favorite winter activity in Breckenridge?
