Not much has been going on lately, certainly nothing to write home about, so to speak… Well, except for the two-ish FEET of snow we got a couple weeks back. That was highly entertaining.

The threat was there, that that particular Saturday morning we were going to wake up to flurries and it was going to go downhill fast. Ha. In typical Colorado fashion, we woke up to nothing.

Nothing started coming down until mid day, really. Then it picked up enough that I decided to want to get home from work before dark. The roads were clear, but there was enough white stuff swirling around on my drive home that I was happy I’d headed that way.

By Sunday morning we had some snow. As in, like 6”-8” of it. That starts to be a bit. Matt and I went out on his lunch break to help shovel.

Eek, the stuff was HEAVY. Like, midwest humid, super wet snow. We were out for over an hour, clearing as much of the sidewalk as we could…

That evening, we went over to the new little bar, Bar Nun, that opened up a block away, and were quite excited to find it open. A glass of wine or two later, we headed back home. I could NOT resist a snow angel… And we could hardly believe how deep the snow was.

The next morning, the snow had finally stopped falling. Back outside we went to shovel some more. Another freaking foot, more or less, had fallen since we shoveled the first time. This time, what was on the bottom was mostly frozen, so we got the pleasure of scraping up ice… Ugh.

We ended up having the 4th largest snowfall on record in Denver. It was kinda gorgeous, not gonna lie…
